I have used sling bags over time and i find them to be very useful especially for edc purposes. Around town in the stress of the week when tasks have to be done we need a bag that can carry our essentials and it is not a ton of bulk on our backs. That’s why North face took the big brother Borealis and shrunk it down with two new models , The Borealis Mini and the Borealis Sling!
Today we gonna talk about the Borealis sling pack because in my personal opinion Sling bags are more high speed efficient than a backpack. Both models the Mini and the Sling are unisex with plenty of color options for both men and women!
Product description:
The volume of the pack is 366 in³ (6 liters) as i mentioned earlier its for the every day’s essentials. The materials used for this pack are 210D recycled nylon and 300D recycled polyester and it is water-repellent. the physical dimensions of the pack are 7.28” x 4.72” x 12.99” (18.5 cm x 12 cm x 33 cm). The strap is wide enough and cushioned lined with a storage pocket that can fit a mobile phone but people say that it is better suited for sunglasses.The back of the pack is well cushioned and its consisted by 2 separated panels for an air-flow gap!

It is a really good looking pack that it’s not stand out a lot with its size!
Now let’s see what the Borealis sling can carry!
On the front of the pack there is the famous borealis bungee system , around the front there are a lot of attachment loops.On the right side there is a small water bottle pocket. Behind the front panel there is a fleece lined storage pocket that on many people’s opinions it is well suited for a mobile phone and behind this pocket is the main compartment of the pack that has a mesh pocket with a key-clip and a tablet pocket on the back of the pack . Though it is not clear from the dimensions of the pack an up to 11 inches tablet will probably fit in there.
Both the main compartment and the front pocket are easy accessible while you wear the pack you just drag the pack in front of you and everything is at your reach!
The ideal coloring for anyone is up to you but you can see what is available on the official site. i personally liked a lot the gravel which i used for this presentation.
Conclusion:
A great everyday carry pack for the daily needs around town excursions that doesn’t stand out a lot with it’s size but by it’s looks.It can carry the essentials plus a tablet or journal and with its sling design provide an ease of item management while we still wear the pack!
